We stayed at Cadney Homestead to break the trip from Coober Pedy to Eldundra.

Short review, pretty shit.

Look, now I may be a city slicker and expect everything to work all the time, but surely a pinball machine out of order is a no no wherever you are!

Also, the pool was closed. Closed! in the middle of Australia!

Hot water for tea and coffee out of order.

We’ve been pretty lucky so far. I’ve had Telstra the whole way at the stop off points, apart from while we have been on the road. So when when we stopped offf at Cadney, and there was no Telstra reception, I had to resort to paying for wiffi.

The paid “Roaming Wifi” Internet was shit. Slow, cut in and out. Here is my city slicker whinging again! I should have just not had it for 18 hours.

We did experience what seemed like our first patch of grass in weeks!

We ended up going in to the pub for happy hour and stayed for 2 hours.

Played pool, drank beers, chips and ice creams (again!) for the kids.

We punched on to Eldundra early the next day.

All in all, we should have gone on to Marla, This would have made the next leg shorter, and when we did go through Marla to refuel, it seemed nicer.
