It’s easy to get excited as you make your way along the Lasseter highway towards Uluru.

Catching a glimpse of a large red formation in the distance, one would think that they’ve finally laid eyes on the one and only Uluru.

On close inspection however it is definitely not Uluru.
With a distinct flat top and after passing the aptly named Mt Connor lookout, we soon discover that this “other” rock is in fact Mount Connor.
Maybe next time Mount Connor we can get to know you a little better, now we know you exist.
At least we were a bit more prepared on our way out and managed to grab a few happy snaps. Any excuse to get out and stretch.
